Marketing Coordinator

October 2014 - September 2021

Keune UK

Plymouth, U.K.

As the Marketing Coordinator at Keune's UK Distributor, I had the privilege of orchestrating strategies for a distinguished Dutch hair care brand with a century-long legacy. My role was instrumental in establishing and refining the brand's presence, effectively translating its core essence into the vibrant tapestry of the UK professional hair industry.

A substantial facet of my portfolio revolved around the conceptualisation and crafting of a diverse array of digital and print materials. These assets catered to our sales consultants, as well as our primary audience – the talented hairstylists. With an acute understanding of their needs, I meticulously developed promotions and advertising strategies that armed our sales team with the tools to fortify relationships with existing clients and build the opportunity for new accounts.

My design philosophy artfully married aesthetics with data-driven insights, resulting in a fusion that resonated with the beauty of our products while effectively communicating hairstyling inspiration. This approach not only fostered impactful conversations with our sales consultants but also ensured a precise targeting of our desired customer base.

An additional feather in my cap was the stewardship of Keune UK's social media presence from 2014 to 2019. This endeavour resulted in an impressive 160% growth in followers. Nurturing our social feeds, I harnessed creativity to curate a cohesive narrative that resonated with our audience, fostering engagement and affinity.

As a brand guardian of Keune's evolving narrative in the UK, I navigated the delicate balance between tradition and innovation, resulting in strategies and designs that not only celebrated the brand's heritage but also positioned it as a formidable force in the contemporary professional hair care landscape.

Graphic Designer

September 2004 - April 2014

Anthony P. Scott & Co. Ltd

Trinidad & Tobago, W.I.

As a Graphic Designer at Anthony P. Scott and Co Ltd, I embarked on an engaging journey of visual brand transformation from 2004 to 2014. This diverse range encompassed Professional Hair and Spa products, as well as Beauty, Pharmaceutical and Food brands, each deserving a unique and captivating visual representation.

Throughout my tenure, I championed the complete project life cycle, demonstrating adeptness in budget oversight, fostering collaborative relationships with printers, and nurturing seamless communication with brand stakeholders. At the heart of my responsibilities was the crafting of Point of Purchase materials to support consumer decision-making purchases. In tandem, I curated several collections of informational brochures that educated consumers, nurturing a deeper connection with our offerings.

A significant dimension of my role involved safeguarding the company's corporate brand identity. Collaborating with a dynamic team, I dedicated myself to upholding the essence of the brand across various touchpoints, ensuring a coherent and resonant presence in the market.

In parallel, I co-managed and monitored the visual and community aspects of some of our local Facebook pages. This role allowed me to leverage my creative acumen to foster a vibrant online community, infusing it with visually compelling content and maintaining an engaging dialogue with our audience.

My role as a Graphic Designer was a harmonious blend of artistic prowess, strategic thinking, and community engagement, with the goal of breathing life into brands and fostering enduring consumer relationships.
